Firstly, I started off my blog with asking people about my chosen blog product. I decided to go for a horror theme blogged but I need to know if it were worth making for any sort of audience.

I asked a few questions to a wide list of people, the following questions were:

What is your Age & Gender?

Do you enjoy horror films?


What is your favourite horror film?

What do you really expect to see in a horror film?

Would you be interested in a review blog based just on horrors?

Although it is one genre of the media that people like or hate, I did get a good lists of views form both sides.

One of my responses was from Em, 19 Female, did say she is not a fan of horror films and not a favourite to talk about, not even the calmer kind of horror films. However, Em did say that most horrors that she would expect to see would have the aspects of suspense and dark tones throughout, such as slow and eerie music. Em also mentioned she would not read anything about horror reviews.

Another response is fro Shani, 20 Female, and she clearly responded with a pure hatred for horrors and anything connected to the genre itself. However, Shani did say that because of her hatred, she expects jump scares and that is one aspect of horrors that she cannot stand. Finally, same as Em, Shani would not read anything about horror reviews.

Onto good feedback, my first positive response was from Ellen, 18 Female, and she said that she really enjoys horrors and she has such a big list to choose from. As for the aspects of horrors, Ellen said that she always expects supernatural behavior, jump scares and she enjoys horrors more when they have different storylines to each other. Overall, Ellen said she would really enjoy the fact there would be a review blog for horrors as this would tell her more horror films exist and ones she has never heard of.

To equal the responses, my last response is from Katie, 18 Female. Katie admits herself to be a massive horror film fanatic, meaning she watches them everyday without breaks. As for Katie’s favourite film, she mentioned an old classic called Jaws, therefore this may mean she prefers classics to recent so I may base my blog on the old and the new. As for the aspects of horror, Katie said that a film with death and blood makes a horror so again; this may make me decide on what kind of films to choose. Overall, Katie would happily read a review blog about horrors.

Overall, from my responses, I can see that my blog will not relate to everyone but only the stronger horror fans. I may base my blog on old and new films that have been around and still a favourite till this day.
